Historic Hotels of Slovakia and Slovak Tourist Board Signed Memorandum of Cooperation
Historic Hotels of Slovakia (HHS) and the Slovak Tourist Board (SACR) signed the Memorandum of Cooperation symbolically in the oldest continuously operated hotel in Slovakia with more than 140-year history – Hotel Bankov in Košice. On behalf of SACR, the Memorandum was ceremonially signed by Peter Belinský, the general manager, who said: “Linking of progressive activities is a way to success, which Slovak tourism needs indeed”.
The memorandum gives space to broader promotion of our cultural/historical heritage, in particular on foreign markets. Based on the available marketing surveys, namely the historic monuments have been perceived as attractions with the biggest potential concerning the growing number of foreign visitors.
That is why those organisations agreed also on mutual promotion and collaboration in events with possible creation of space for presentation of their activities.
Daniela Miháliková, the president of HHS, commented the Memorandum signing as follows:
“This way we want to seal and extend our cooperation with SACR, as this cooperation is the basis of successful functioning of tourism. HHS disseminates the reputation of Slovakia abroad and offers unique experience in symbiosis with natural beauties and historic monuments. Our voice will get stronger with the support of SACR.”

Memorandum was perceived in a non-traditional way, because the parties signed, instead of a letterhead, a copy of a historic document where the Memorandum text was written in Schwa Bach using the old Slovak language, with a wax seal of HHS.
