First anniversary celebrated by Historic Hotels of Slovakia

On 16th September 2010 one of the youngest castle hotels association in Europe celebrated its first anniversary. An event took place at the same place the Historic Hotels of Slovakia were established in the Hotel Sandor Pavillon in the spa town of Piestany. Apart from current eights members a mayor of the city Mr Remo Ciccuto came along to help with cutting the birthday cake.
“ We pride ourselves for the successful year of operation though being one of the youngest and the smallest castle hotels associations is hard. Our plans are ambitious but realistic” said Daniela Mihalikova President of the association Historic Hotels of Slovakia.

Historic Hotels of Slovakia were founded in September 2009 by seven founding hotels Chateau Béla (Belá), Hotel Bankov (Košice), Kaštieľ Péchy Lovecký Dom a Park (Hermanovce), Kaštieľ Villa Nečas(Žilina), Hotel Sandor Pavillon (Piešťany), Hotel u Leva (Levoča), Grand Castle (Liptovský Hrádok) and later during 2010 a new member joined Hotel Amade Chateau (Vrakúň).

On 1st January 2010 Historic Hotels of Slovakia joined European umbrella for national castle hotels association Historic hotels of Europe and fully benefited by the PR support and networking opportunities within the group.
